Croatian derby in SEHA league to finish the 1.Round

Zagreb Nexe

On 10. of September, in 18:00 in Sutinska Vrela hall, CO Zagreb will host NEXE in the last match of the first Round of SEHA league. Last year's champion CO Zagreb would surely like to open the season with a win but matches against NEXE were always very hard and close.

Zagreb had long and successful preparations and everything indicates that they are ready for the new season.

Boris Dvoršek, Zagreb's coach, commented on the opening of the season: ''We' re happy to open the season with two home matches against NEXE and Borac Banja Luka. We surely don't want to underrate anyone but I believe that both of those clubs shouldn't be hard to win. We see those matches as our finals test to raise our form for the matches against Celje in EHF Champions League. Of course, NEXE has some good young players who want to show what they can but I believe in my team. I am also happy to play in Sutinska Vrela because I believe that there will be more crowd there than in 'Kutija šibica' and I believe that with them we will successfully open another season.''

Zagreb's captain is looking forward to playing there too: ''We have many supporters from that part of the town and I hope that atmosphere will be great. We must be concentrated, play the best we can and then result will come.''

Situation is not so optimistic in NEXE's lines. Situation was very hard during the summer, many important players left and it was hard to make the team for the new season. But new coach Zdenko Kordi has a plan... :'' We had a very hard summer but even after all that we managed to make a team and here we are. We have a completely new team and only with very much hard work we can make something. Season will be long and all players will get their chances to show what they can.''

On top of the hard situation in the club came news that they will play last year's champion in the 1.Round:'' There is nothing much to say about Zagreb, they are always good with many junior and senior National team players and it will be very hard to win this match. Our goal is to play hard in attack and defence and then see what it will bring us.''

Nothing more to say but to call everyone to Sutinska Vrela on Croatian derby in SEHA league to enjoy great handball!
