3rd place for Vardar at the IHF Super Globe

Vardar

Five-times SEHA champions and the reigning European champions, Vardar finished third at the IHF Super Globe that took place in Saudi Arabia from the 27th to 31st of August. Vardar won the third place match against Saudi Arabian team Al Wehda 30:26 (16:16).

The start of the competition was incredible for Vardar. They won the quarter-final match against Al Mudhar and secured their place in the semi-finals. Unfortunately, a team from Skopje did not reach the final as German THW Kiel were better in the semi-finals.

But, that wasn't the end for Vardar. Being the amazing team that they are, the squad from Skopje picked themselves up and finished the competition in the best possible way. This is not the first time for Vardar to finish third at the IHF Super Globe as they achieved the same result in 2017.

That result marks the amazing start of the new season and is a great overture for what is in front of the Red and Blacks in the months ahead on the SEHA court.
