Partizan without a chance, Tatran and Zagreb on league's top

Partizan bez šanse, Tatran uz Zagreb na vrhu SEHA GSS lige

Tatran Partizan

Slovak champion Tatran Prešov didn’t show mercy to outsider at the match of SEHA GSS Round 9 - RK Partizan 46:19 (24:8). Only in the first 15 minutes, young Serbian squad provided solid resistance to home team (8:5). Home team finished job with 7:0 series a few minutes before the end of the first half (15:5). Tatran’s coach Peter Hatalchik had time to rest the important players and gave a chance to the others to get some minutes. In defeated "white-black" team, only line-player Mijailo Marsenic with 7 goals was on the necessary level to play seriously against the rival as Tatran.

Tatran came to +20 in 35th minute (28:8). After that defense of home team wasn’t concentrated as before, but apart of that, the final score 46:19 is one of the biggest defeats in the history of Serbian team.

After match, RK Partizan’s coach Aleksandar Brkovic was disappointed:

- Congratulation to hosting team Tatran Presov. We don’t have much words to say. Tatran Presov is one of the best teams in SEHA Gazprom South Stream League. We wanted to play equal match but we did not manage to do so.

Tatran’s head-coach Peter Hatalchik was in good mood:

- It was a good match from our point of view. I appreciate that all week we led our players to not underestimate Partizan Beograd, because all teams in SEHA GSSL are in some way strong. We did a good job in defense and basically were scoring goals from quick breaks. All Tatran players got a chance to play in this match and the main thing is that nobody was injured.
