Lapajne: “I’d like to congratulate my teammates as well as BSU on a good outing“

Tatran Presov - Beijing Sport University 38:25 (17:13)

Slavko Goluza, Tatran Presov coach:
It was important for us to win today and secure that third position. I can't be too satisfied with the way we started this one, especially because the plan was to give our younger players some more time to show what they're capable of which is why we must have played better in opening 20 minutes of the match. I always remind my players to respect each and every opponent. BSU have clearly improved since the last time we played them and I wish them all the best.

Janus Lapajne, Tatran Presov player:
I’d like to congratulate my teammates but I want to congratulate BSU as well on a good outing here today. We’ve improved later into this one proving to be a better team. Now it’s time to hit the road and play a tough one against Vojvodina. I hope we’ll deliver some good outings against both Vojvodina and Vardar and secure some points.

Vlado Sola, Beijing Sport University coach:
Despite of the final loss, I’m satisfied because improvements were clearly visible and if we keep up the good work I believe we’ll be much better next season and able to reach some wins. We started the match well but then slowed down because our rotation was not as strong. This is something we have to work on – having more players who are on the same level as the starting six.

Quan Wang, Beijing Sport University goalkeeper:
We played very well in the first and wanted to keep up in the second as well. However, hosts were causing us a lot of problems hitting our weak points on the defensive side of the ball. I feel like defense is what we have to work on the most when preparing for what lies ahead.
