Partizan looking to stun Eurofarm in their first game back in SEHA – Gazprom League

Partizan vs Eurofarm Pelister

Monday evening (17.30 CET) is reserved for SEHA – Gazprom League with Partizan Belgrade welcoming Macedonian vice-champions Eurofarm Pelister in what will be the first SEHA League match for the Serbian side after a seven-year long absence from the regional league. Serbian capital will therefore once again, after the 2013/2014 season, play the biggest possible role on SEHA – Gazprom League’s main stage. And there to welcome Partizan back will be Eurofarm Pelister – a team which has managed to make significant positive progress in the last few seasons and a team which is this season surely aiming for the SEHA Final 4 spot.

It will surely be interesting to see whether Nenad Maksic and his players have what it takes to stun favored Eurofarm in the first round and send a big warning to PPD Zagreb and Tatran Presov who are also playing in Group A. With the support of their great fans, they will definitely aim for that which is why you don’t want to miss this one.

Match will be broadcasted live on RTS and Sport TV.

Nenad Maksic, Partizan coach:
Our fans always expect good results from us which is why we also believe we’ll deliver a solid outing versus Eurofarm Pelister. The experience of playing international games is priceless for our players, especially if they manage to achieve good results. I think we can, with the support of our fans, find a way to win this one. They have a good roster and are known for good defense and quick transition. We’ll be ready for that. Back in the 2012/2013 season I was a part of this league as a player and now it will really be a pleasure for me to be a participant of SEHA – Gazprom League once again.

Ivan Micic, Partizan player:
Eurofarm is an extraordinary team and they will surely have the favorite role in this one. However, despite of that, we will do everything to deliver the best possible performance. We are known for our connection with fans and it will be great to play international matches in front of them. I hope they’ll be there for us on Monday.

Dejan Kukulovski, Eurofarm player:
Serbian Partizan is an unknown opponent for us. However, our goal is obviously to win the game and I think we’ve managed to prepare well for it. Match will be a great test for us. I feel like we can go far in SEHA League and I hope we’ll manage to start this new campaign with a win.

Bojan Madzovski, Eurofarm player:
Partizan is definitely not one of the teams we know a lot about. However, we will surely look to win this one and open the season in the best possible way. I feel like we are on the good path as a team at the moment, growing from match to match. Goal for the season is to reach SEHA – Gazprom League Final 4 tournament and first step on the way will be to defeat Partizan on Monday.
