EHF EL derby in Nasice, Veszprem looking to get back on the winning tracks

New week full of challenges in Maschineseeker EHF Champions League and European League means it is once again time for our weekly preview! Without further ado – let’s get started!

Maschineseeker EHF Champions League

After a loss in Zagreb last week, Telekom Veszprem will in this round welcome Polish Orlen Wisla Plock in a match in which Momir Ilic and his guys will surely be looking to get back on the winning track with the help of their incredible fans. The match is scheduled for Thursday (18.45 CET) in Veszprem Arena.

In Slavko Goluza’s first home match back as a PPD Zagreb coach, ‘Lions’ managed to stun highly-favoured Telekom Veszprem and will now be looking to do more of the same against Dinamo Bucuresti away from home. Croatian champions are clearly on the rise and they will surely have an additional motive as they lost to Dinamo at home due to a last-second seven-meter shot. The match is scheduled for Thursday (18.45 CET).

EHF European League

In Group A, Tatran Presov will be looking for their first group-stage points against Hungarian Veszpremi KKFT who are currently at the bottom of the group with zero points and -38 goal difference after four rounds. The match is scheduled for Tuesday (17.00 CET).

In Group C, group leaders Nexe will welcome second-placed Granollers in Nasice. Nexe are on top of the group with a 4/4 score and Granollers are one position behind with three wins and a loss against Skjern away from home. The match will be played on Tuesday (18.45 CET).

In Group D, Eurofarm Pelister are, after the last round and a win over Motor, ready to square off against Spanish Bidasoa away from home in Irun. Bidasoa is currently third with the same amount of points as Eurofarm (4) but with a little better goal difference. The first whistle of the match is scheduled for Tuesday (20.45 CET).

EHF European Cup

Partizan Belgrade lost 28:20 to Slovenian Gorenje Velenje away from home in the first leg of Round of 32 of EHF European Cup. The second leg is scheduled for Sunday (11.12.) 18.00 CET. On the other hand, Vojvodina secured away win in Austria against Forthof UHK Krems 29:27. The second leg match is scheduled on Saturday, 10 December in Novi Sad.
